The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), established in 1998, is recognized for its research-driven approach and integrated dual degree programs. Governed by a council comprising notable figures from academia, industry, and government, the institute emphasizes interdisciplinary research and offers undergraduates the chance to engage in significant research projects.

IIIT-H provides five integrated dual degree programs, blending Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) with Master of Science (M.S) by Research across various specializations:

1. B.Tech & M.S in Computer Science & Engineering by Research
2. B.Tech & M.S in Electronics and Communication Engineering by Research
3. B.Tech in Computer Science & M.S. in Computational Linguistics by Research
4. B.Tech in Computer Science & M.S. in Computational Natural Sciences by Research
5. B.Tech in Computer Science & M.S. in Computing & Human Sciences

Commerce / Humanities students eligible : Students from Commerce / Humanities streams are eligible for one of the five courses - B.Tech in Computer Science & M.S. in Computing & Human Sciences (CHD).

To be eligible, candidate should have scored 85% or more aggregate marks in Mathematics and any one subject from History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, English Elective, Sociology.

Such candidates will be shortlisted and called directly for interviews (no entrance test).

The annual tuition fee for these programs is Rs. 4,00,000. Additional costs include hostel charges (approximately INR 3,000 per month) and mess charges (approximately INR 4,500 per month). On-campus residence is mandatory for all students. For the fifth year, tuition fee support is anticipated from the Research Advisor/Research Centre/Institute for meritorious students. Financial assistance based on need is also available through an alumni-funded 'pay-it-forward' scheme.

Admission to the dual-degree programs is primarily through the Undergraduate Entrance Exam (UGEE), which consists of a Subject Proficiency Test (SUPR) and a Research Aptitude Test (REAP).
